The Green Scholarship Program is a division of the Charity Development of Los Cabos and is a 501(c) not-for-profit organization serving as an advocate for young people with the greatest need. We are serving as an advocate for young people with the greatest need.
The GSP has 56 scholars in the program and the foundation pays 100% of their school fees, also we provided English classes for all of them free of charge. Their needs are endless and we do everything in our power to help fulfill their dream of a college education.
We have provided lodging because they didn’t have a place to live. Paid for their school books, transportation and medical treatments Provided psychological and physical therapy Assisted them in participating in school trips and seminars Gifted them equipment to improve their educational experience such as cameras and computers
We create leaders that are involved in the community. We seek to expand their horizons through experiences they have never had and we often take for granted:
One of our students born went to Chileno Beach for the first time last June when we took our scholars for a fun day at the beach. She was born in Cabo San Lucas 19 years ago.
Our students are all first generation to go to college or even high school. Their parents are gardeners, masons, cleaning ladies, plumbers, etc. Browse through our site and you can learn more about each of our students and what the GSP means to them.
We are one of the few foundations where all off the donations go straight to our students. We do not use any of the donations for operational or administrative expenses. Yet the GSP does more than provide our students with a scholarship and English classes.
In the case of this event, you are helping our students become leaders of our community and achieve their dream of a college education. They will have the opportunity to be a part of experiences that we take for granted on a daily basis. In return, you will partake in a fun filled evening with exquisite food, superb wines and entertainment. Last but not least, exchange your chips at the end of the night for one of the many prices donated by our kind sponsors.
